By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use our services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using The Shipping Plug's website and services, you accept and agree to these Terms and Conditions, which may be updated from time to time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for any changes.
2. Services
The Shipping Plug provides international shipping services, including the forwarding of packages from various online retailers to Jamaica. We also offer additional services such as package tracking, storage, and customs clearance.
3. User Responsibilities
As a user, you are responsible for providing accurate and complete information, including your Shipping Plug member number, suite number, zip code, and full name when using our services. Incomplete or inaccurate information may result in delays, additional fees, or the handling of your package under our default "Non User" account.
4. Plug Policy
- Storage Fees: If The Shipping Plug retains your package for more than 10 days, a storage fee of $250 per day and per item will be applied.
- Uncollected Packages: Packages not collected within 60 days will be subject to auction, where the items will be sold to recover costs incurred by The Shipping Plug.
- Clearance and Handling Fees: A clearance and handling fee will be applied to packages valued over $100 that have not been charged customs duty tax by the Jamaica Custom Agency.
- Incomplete Shipping Addresses: Packages with incomplete shipping addresses (missing member number, suite number, zip code, or full name) will be placed under our "Non User" account. To process such packages, you must provide the tracking number and a clear description of the items. A $300 fee will be applied for clearance.
5. Customs and Import Duties
You are responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable customs laws and regulations. Any customs duties, taxes, or fees imposed by the Jamaican Customs Agency or other authorities are your responsibility.
6. Payment Terms
All fees for services, including shipping, storage, and handling, must be paid in full before the release of your package. Payment can be made via the methods specified on our website. Failure to pay may result in additional charges or the withholding of your package.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Shipping Plug is not liable for any loss, damage, or delay caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of nature, customs delays, or issues with third-party carriers. Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for our services.
8. Package Ownership and Auction
Ownership of any uncollected package will transfer to The Shipping Plug after 60 days of non-collection, at which point the package may be auctioned to recover costs. The proceeds of such sales may not be claimed by the original owner after the auction.

10. Changes to Services
The Shipping Plug reserves the right to modify or discontinue any service at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of any service.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Jamaica. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica.
